Disclaimer
Important information about our independent AI pre-check, its results, and how they should be used.
This Disclaimer is provided in English. Any translation is offered for convenience, and the English version controls if there is a conflict.
-
Independent Service
Turnitin AI Detector is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Turnitin, LLC. References to Turnitin are used only to explain the context in which users may choose to perform a pre-check before submitting academic work.
-
What the Pre-Check Provides
The service uses our independently developed model to estimate AI-writing signals and, where available, similarity signals. It is designed as an early review tool that can help you decide whether a draft needs closer attention before submission. Results are informational signals, not findings of fact or final academic judgments.
-
No Official Turnitin Result or Report
This service does not access Turnitin’s systems, reproduce Turnitin’s proprietary analysis, or provide an official Turnitin AI Writing Report or Similarity Report. A result from this site should not be described or presented as an official Turnitin score, report, or determination.
-
Accuracy and Technical Limitations
AI detection is not perfectly accurate. Results may contain false positives or false negatives and may change when the text, detection model, qualifying-text rules, scoring thresholds, or system version changes. Different tools may return different percentages for the same document. No score guarantees how another detector or institution will evaluate your work.
-
Authorship, Similarity, and Plagiarism
An AI indicator cannot prove who wrote a text. A similarity score identifies text that may match other sources, but a match does not automatically establish plagiarism. Neither a high nor a low percentage should be treated as conclusive evidence of authorship, originality, intent, or academic misconduct.
-
Responsible Academic Use
Use results as prompts for closer review. Consider the writing itself together with citations, matched sources, drafts, notes, version history, assignment instructions, and the academic-integrity or AI-use policy that applies to the work. Do not rely on this service alone to accuse, penalize, grade, admit, reject, or otherwise make a high-impact decision about another person.
-
User Responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use the service, reviewing the result, checking your sources and citations, and following all rules that apply to your course, institution, publisher, or workplace. The service is not a substitute for instructor guidance, institutional review, professional advice, or your own academic judgment.
-
Third-Party Services and Reports
The site may link to independent third-party services that offer more detailed analysis or reports. Those services operate under their own terms, privacy practices, methods, pricing, and availability. We do not control their results or guarantee that they will match Turnitin or any other detection system. A link does not imply an official relationship or endorsement.
-
No Warranties, Liability, and Updates
The site and its results are provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for decisions, losses, academic consequences, or other outcomes arising from reliance on the service. We may update this Disclaimer when the service or applicable requirements change and will revise the “Last updated” date above.
